This is one of those picture that at first glance you are like "wow it is beautiful ... what is it?" then you spend like 20 minutes just staring at it ... no, just me? um .. ok

The architecture is very strange, complicated but really nice.
I like very much the way you did your shot with the perspective and point of view.
To sum up, your shot is interesting and pretty.

The only thing I dislike a little bit it's the proportion of black at the left, too big for me.

Anyway, good work!

What...no print? ;)

While I see ~AngelRamya's point, I disagree. the use of "negative" space is successful in creating an oppressive feeling, as if the black is pressing upon the building and causing the crumpling; and your selection of title only adds to that impression. Most people think of architecture as "the aesthetics of structure" but that's really only half of it...less than half. Architecture is, as I know you know, very much about mathematics and engineering. It's the application of structural science. I like that you draw us into that aspect of the world with your title and leave us to ponder "just how DOES someone build a structure with folds and waves like this....and keep it standing?!"

The ones that can answer correctly, probably helped Gehry to actualize his design. :D Probably sounds all very boring to a bunch of artists, but it certainly stimulates the science geek in me. :p

Impressive shot. Love the impossible-looking geometry. It makes me want to run my hands on it.

Great structures and lines/curves ... awesome shot ... :faint:

Thanks JB! The EMP was so much fun to take in. The look of the building changes throughout the day as the fickle Seattle sun peeks from behind clouds and the ever present rain runs down the sloping shapes. Completely worth the trip.

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. :)
